Amy J. Cornew-Fingas
Business Law, Wills, Estates, Trusts and Real Estate
Amy joined Bell Baker in 2024 and has over 15 years’ legal experience. Amy is originally from South Africa and is fluent in both English and Afrikaans. Amy completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Legum Baccalaureus degree at the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha, South Africa. In 2009, Amy began her legal career in Durban, South African where she practiced business law, general corporate and commercial law, insurance law, maritime law, commercial leasing, property development, estate planning and commercial and civil litigation.
In 2017, Amy immigrated to Canada and fell in love with Ottawa. She worked as a legal assistant while undergoing the accreditation process and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020. Amy practices business law, general corporate and commercial law, estate planning and administration, commercial leasing, and residential real estate. In her spare time, you will find Amy spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, knitting, dressmaking and reading.
