John Summers is the managing partner with Bell Baker LLP and he articled with the Firm before being called to the Ontario Bar in 1999. An avid proponent of alternative dispute resolution, John’s practice primarily focuses on providing advice and representation in all aspects of family law. John has extensive experience in conducting trials, arbitrations, and all aspects of litigation in family law matters. He also provides advice and representation on estate litigation and other civil litigation matters as well as on education issues.

John is a former instructor at the Bar Admission Course and has been a guest lecturer at various educational programs, including providing guidance on how to conduct trials. John has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in Ontario, as well as various administrative tribunals.
